Delaware County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested 38-year-old Jamal Abrams of Delhi for allegedly destroying property at the Delaware County Correctional Facility. Abrams was already incarcerated at the Jail on charges related to an assault arrest from earlier this year, is accused of kicking a glass door window inside the facility, causing the glass to shatter, causing more than $450.00 in damage to the window. Abrams was charged with 1 count of Criminal Mischief, he would be arraigned on the new charges in the Town of Delhi Court at a later date.

Investigators yesterday arrested 38-year-old Jamal Abrams of Delhi, for violating a Temporary Order of Protection. Abrams is accused of contacting the victim of an alleged assault by telephone from the Delaware County Jail, on 14 different occasions this month, Abrams was charged with 14 counts of Criminal Contempt, he remains incarcerated on the previous Assault charges, he will be arraigned on the new charges in the Town of Delhi Court at a later date.

Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 38-year-old Jamal Abrams of Delhi with attempted murder, unlawful imprisonment and criminal possession of a weapon following their investigation of a domestic dispute Friday night. Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at the Buena Vista Motel in Delhi, the victim claimed that she escaped after being held captive & was beaten, as Deputies were responding to her 911, the assailant chased her down and allegedly punched, kicked & dragged the woman back to the motel room & beat her with a glass bottle causing serious physical injuries. The victim was transported to O’Connor Hospital and was transferred to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City for further treatment. Abrams was arraigned in Delhi Town Court and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bail bond.
