34 year old Jade Pittsley of Binghamton was sentenced in Federal Court to 8 years in prison following her guilty plea to escaping from federal custody and possessing and intending to distribute methamphetamine. As part of her prior guilty plea, Pittsley admitted that in November 2023, while she was serving a federal term of imprisonment for a drug offense involving methamphetamine, she was under the supervision of a halfway house. Pittsley was directed to return to the halfway house but never did. Days later, law enforcement found Pittsley carrying methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in her purse. Pittsley was also sentenced to a 4-year term of supervised release after she is released from prison.

Pittsley was serving a federal term of imprisonment for a drug offense involving methamphetamine in November 2023 and at the time of the crime, she was under the supervision of a halfway house, she failed to return & law enforcement took her into custody, she faces sentencing on December 30th, Pittsley faces a minimum term of 5 years and up to life in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and a term of supervised release of at least 4 years.

Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested Jade Pittsley Tuesday, she was wanted by the U.S. Marshals in Albany on an arrest warrant for escaping from federal custody. Pittsley was under the supervision of the Federal Bureau of Prisons and was afforded an opportunity to complete the final portion of her sentence at a halfway house in Albany to assist in her reentry to the community, she failed to show up & a warrant was issued for her arrest. Pittsley was located in Johnson City where she was observed leaving a retail store and, as she attempted to get into a nearby vehicle, task force members took her into custody. Officers found more than 40 grams of methamphetamines in her possession, she was transported to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and charged with felony narcotics possession.
