Broome County Sheriff's Office arrested 25 year old Samuel Harris of Tennessee is facing 2 counts of 3rd degree Rape, plus Child Endangerment, for allegedly traveling from Tennessee to engage in sexual acts with a 15-year-old female he met on TikTok. On Sunday, Deputies responded to the Hillside Inn & Suites in the Town of Dickinson. Harris was arraigned & was remanded to the Broome County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility. An Order of Protection was filed on behalf of the victim.

Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested 61 Year Old Donald Harris of Norwich after Deputies responded to a report of a physical domestic dispute in the Town of Norwich. Following an investigation, Harris was accused of causing serious physical injury to the victim, he was taken into custody without incident, he was charged with 2nd degree Assault & was arraigned and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Norwich Court at a later date.

On the 24th anniversary of Michele Harris’ disappearance, State Police continue to investigate. Harris was last seen on September 11, 2001, Despite extensive investigation, her whereabouts remain unknown. In the coming weeks, State Police investigators will be conducting additional searches for evidence related to this case. Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested 33 year old Robert Harris of New Lisbon for 2 counts of Criminal Contempt Friday, following an investigation in to allegations of domestic violence in the Town of New Lisbon. Investigation revealed that during the month of February Harris located a family member at a residence in the Town of Pittsfield and placed the victim in fear for their life by brandishing a baseball bat, he violated a court order prohibiting him from contacting the victim. Harris was located in New Berlin and taken in to custody without incident, he was processed at the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to correctional staff for Arraignment.

Chenango Sheriff Office arrested 47 year old Andrew Harris of Plymouth for Obstructing Fire Fighting Operations, Reckless Endangerment of Property, Unlawful Imprisonment. Harris was arrested after deputies determined he would not let fire department personnel extinguish a house fire in the Town of Plymouth. Harris was found standing in his driveway in close proximity to a fully involved house fire, he aggressive yelled at emergency personnel and failed to obey lawful orders, Deputies also determined that Harris committed crimes the night before against his girlfriend during a domestic incident, he was arraigned & released on his own recognizance.

State Police arrested 52 year old William Harris of Richmond Virginia, Harris was operating a tractor trailer with an oversized load while impaired by alcohol and in possession of an illegal weapon, he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon & Driving While Intoxicated in a Commercial Vehicle. Harris was apprehneded after he failed to stop for a mandatory tractor trailer inspection stop on I-81 Harris failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Police located an assault weapon in his possession, Harris was later transported to the Cortland County Correctional Facility for Centralized Arraignment.

28 year old Latasha Mott of Syracuse was arraigned on charges of manslaughter and disposal of a corpse in the death of her daughter, Nefertiti Harris. Mott is accused of fatally hitting the child with a belt multiple times on January 6, and hiding the body in a wooded area, Syracuse police were searching in fields and woods on Monday, Mott pleaded not guilty on Monday, she was being held on $500,000 cash or a $1 million bond.

The numbers are in for the Laurens Central School Coaches vs Cancer Basketball event this past Saturday, where they were able to raise $5,467 for the American Cancer Society through a Zumbathon, basket raffles and admission donations. WCDO Sports Director Nate Lull reported that the Schenevus Coaches vs Cancer event was postponed tonight due to the weather and will be made up at a later date.

Delaware County Sheriff's Office arrested 31 year old Thomas Harris of Masonville for making a Terroristic Threat. On January 10th, Deputies received a complaint that an individual had made threats of arson towards a local business, it was determined that Harris did make the threat to “burn down” the business’s headquarters on a recorded line while talking to the business’s after-hours dispatch center. Harris was charged with Aggravated Harassment and Making a Terroristic Threat, he was transported to and held at the Delaware County Correctional Facility to await centralized arraignment.

Broome County Sheriff's Office arrested 20 year old Anton Becker-Harris of Binghamton for Unlawful Fleeing, Reckless Driving after he allegedly drove on sidewalks in Binghamton early Friday. Deputies observed Becker Harris drive a motorcycle on the sidewalk and on the grounds of Calvin Coolidge Elementary School, they attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the motorcycle sped away, Deputies found the motorcycle hidden behind a dumpster with Becker-Harris & his female passenger walking nearby. Becker-Harris was taken into custody without incident, was processed & faces court action at a later date.

Robb said that on Friday, businesses & Municipalities will bring their items from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, then farmers will bring their materials from 12:15 to 2:00 PM, household will participate from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Saturday.

The Otsego County Health Department announced that a bat has tested positive for rabies in Burlington Flats today. There was 1 human exposure, that person is undergoing post exposure vaccinations. 31 year old Thomas Harris of Unadilla was sentenced to a 5-year term of probation supervision for 4th degree Arson in Delaware County Court. On June 4th, 2022, State Police responded to reports of a structure fire in the Town of Sidney, Troopers discovered beer bottles, some with gasoline, the victim told Troopers that Harris threw the bottles, starting the fire. Investigators obtained DNA Swabs from Harris, Harris's DNA was on the bottles, he was arrested & Harris pled guilty to Arson. Harris was directed to immediately report to the Delaware County Department of Probation.

P.M. NEWS Wednesday 8-23-23

31 year old Thomas Harris of Unadilla, pleaded guilty to 4th degree Arson, on June 4, 2022, State Police responded to reports of a structure fire in the Town of Sidney. Upon arrival, the Troopers discovered several broken and intact beer bottles, some of which contained gasoline, a victim stated that Harris threw the bottles, starting the fire. The Bottles were tested, the results confirmed the presence of Harris’ DNA on the bottles. Harris will be sentenced to five years of felony probation supervision when sentenced at a later date.

Governor Kathy Hochul announced applications are now being accepted from small businesses that have successfully completed the pre-screening process to become certified for the COVID-19 Capital Costs Tax Credit Program. The refundable tax relief program targets COVID-19-related expenses such as disinfectants, HVAC equipment, Expenses related to increased outdoor activity and outdoor space expansions & Machinery and equipment to facilitate contactless sales. Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a reported harassment complaint in the Village of Walton. The caller was 45 year old Jason Culligan of Texas, it was discovered by Deputies that Culligan had an active arrest warrant out of Harris County Texas for Aggravated Assault. Deputies took Culligan into custody, he was arraigned in the Village of Walton Court and remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility pending future court action & extradition.

State Police arrested 3 Binghamton men for attempted murder in connection with a shooting in West Corners in July. Arrested were Keith Harris, Alex Shoga & Tavin Wilson, they were arraigned at Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries on July 25 in the town of Union.

Binghamton Police arrested 2 19 year olds last week after complaints of suspicious activity on Gerard Avenue. Police stopped a White SUV leaving that area, they found parts to make illegal Ghost Guns. 19 year old Jayvon Phillips & 19 year old Savion Harris, both of Binghamton were charged with criminal possession of a weapon, Phillips was additionally charged with assault & criminal misconduct after trying to escape, and assaulting a police Lieutenant.

A.M. NEWS MONDAY 4-11-22

On January 2, State Police responded to a home on Poplar Avenue in the town of Hartwick, it was reported by the initial caller that an elderly victim had sustained physical injuries after an unknown person entered her home. Investigators spent months conducting interviews and examining evidence, ultimately leading to the determination that the woman’s physical injuries were caused when she fell inside her home. No criminal activity occurred, the woman passed away several weeks after her fall. She is identified as 86-year-old Flora Polulech. State Police report that there is no threat to the community.

Broome County District Attorney Mike Korchak announced today that Larry Harris received a 79 years to Life sentence this morning in Broome County Court. Harris was found guilty of killing 11 year old Jerome Smith in 2019, raping an 11 year old female in 2013 and dealing narcotics.

State Police arrested 49 year old Robert Coleman of McDonough and 43 year old Billie Harris of McDonough for Criminal Possession of a Weapon, after a trooper initiated a traffic stop, both Coleman and Harris were in possession of firearms; they cannot legally possess firearms since they have been previously convicted of a crime.  Both were arraigned, Harris was released on her own recognizance; Coleman was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

Otsego County Department of Health reported 4 new cases of COVID 19 Wednesday, all 4 were SUNY Oneonta students, and also 3 cases were reported in SUNY students that had not previously been reported.  Otsego County reports 893 total confirmed cases, 17 are active cases with 1 hospitalization, there have been 7 deaths.   722 cases are linked to the SUNY Oneonta outbreak, 19 confirmed cases in Hartwick College students

State Police responded to a 2-person fatal crash in the town of German at Chenango County Road 2 near County Road 5 at about 2:10 Thursday Afternoon.  Police reported that a passerby saw marks in the roadway with trees and brush down, found a crashed vehicle & called 911.  A preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle went off the roadway for an unknown reason and crashed; both occupants were ejected, and were removed from the scene to Lourdes Hospital for an autopsy.  The driver has been identified as 26 year old Matthew Monroe of Willet, the passenger was 26 year old Judah Harris of Whitney Point, the investigation is continuing.

A Broome County Grand Jury has indicted 45 year-old Larry Harris of Johnson City on 2 charges of predatory sexual assault against a child and 2 counts of rape.  Broome County District Attorney Mike Korchak said that Harris was already being held in the Broome County Jail facing murder and manslaughter charges for the death of 11 year-old Jerome Smith in February of 2019.  The new charges were filed after a victim came forward accusing Harris of sex crimes between 2013 and 2019, Harris will be tried separately on the new charges.

A Broome County grand jury has indicted 44-year-old Larry
Harris of Binghamton for 2nd degree murder and 1st-degree manslaughter, in
connection with the death of 11 year old Jerome Smith of Johnson City.  Johnson City police arrested Smith's Mother;
30-year-old Shakia Crute for 2nd-degree manslaughter for the February 2 death
of the boy.  Harris was already at Broome
County Jail on drug charges; Crute has been held since February.

State Police arrested 26 year old Thomas Harris of Unadilla for DWI, Reckless Driving and Harassment Sunday, after a trooper monitoring State Highway 357 observed
Harris driving at about 100 miles an hour. Harris was stopped; his B.A.C was measured at .20%. Harris is also accused of making numerous threats of physical violence
toward troopers and their family members. He was arraigned in the town of Sidney Court and remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000
property bond.

State Police released more details on the April 11th crash that killed Whitesboro Police Officer Kevin Crossley. Troopers reported that an eyewitness and a surveillance video showed Officer Crossley made a U-turn, his patrol vehicle then collided with an SUV driven by Nicole Moshier-Harris. Officer Crossley's vehicle was travelling at 74 miles per hour, and his actions were consistent with pursuing an unidentified violator. The coroner’s report determined that Officer Crossley's death was caused by multiple traumatic injuries & he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Moshier-Harris was issued a traffic ticket for failing to yield the right of way, no additional charges are anticipated.

State Police released more details about the death of Whitesboro Police Officer Kevin Crossley, who was killed Wednesday night when his patrol car collided with a pickup truck driven by 26-year old Nicole Moshier-Harris of Whitesboro. Investigators reported that there is no indication that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Officer Crossley was a full-time member of the Whitesboro Police Department for 7 years, he was 34 years old.

Cal Harris of Owego had his license suspended in Preble town court yesterday, where he appeared to answer to a DWI charge from last month. Harris was charged after he allegedly hit the side of a vehicle on I-81, he was pulled over by state police a short distance away & was charged with DWI & Leaving the Scene of an accident. He faces additional court action on February 13th.
