The parade starts at 1:00 PM, a festival will follow the parade at Neawha Park, the event is being coordinated by Hill City Production & the Oneonta Parade Team. State Police arrested 63 year old Carol Hissin of Endicott after an investigation revealed that she falsified records and took medication intended for patients at Good Shepherd Communities Endwell, on 3 occasions. Hissin was arrested by Troopers at her residence and charged with 3 counts of Falsifying Business Records & Scheming to Defraud, Hissin was processed then turned over to the Broome County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.

Good Shepherd Communities & Chase Nursing Home & Rehabilitation of New Berlin have given their employees a $2 dollar an hour differential for putting in the long hard hours at their nursing homes during the Coronavirus pandemic, President & CEO Mike Keenan explains:

The Community Foundation for South Central New York has released an additional $142,705 in grants to organizations providing essential services to the individuals and communities during the COVID-19 crisis. The Otsego County Department of Health receives $5,000 for a public awareness campaign on social distancing, The Delaware Valley Humane Society will receive $5,000 for increased capacity at the shelter as owners are forced to surrender animals, Good Shepherd Communities Foundation will receive $5,000 for Personal Protective Equipment, Helios Care receives $10,000 for Personal Protective Equipment & Catskill Center for Independence receives $8,000 for their meal and prescription delivery program to community members with disabilities. At about 1:30 PM, troopers responded to a domestic dispute in Unadilla, Troopers located Lafferty, who was accused of making threats to physically harm one of the residents, which violated an order of protection, Lafferty was charged with Criminal Contempt, was arraigned by teleconference and released on his own recognizance. At about 7:30 PM, troopers learned that Lafferty was once again at the residence, he was charged with Criminal Contempt, he was arraigned again by teleconference and remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond.

Governor Cuomo announced Thursday that the State has over 159,000 cases of the Coronavirus; they have reported 7,067 deaths so far, with another record breaking amount on Wednesday of 799 deaths. Governor Cuomo said that people still need to stay at home, and there is no good estimate as to when this ends:

Good Shepherd Communities Board and Senior Management announces $2 per hour differential for staff at their Binghamton Facility. The Board reported that this is their way of thanking employees for the exceptional care they are providing to residents at all facilities during the Covid-19 crisis. All employees, except senior management, will receive a $2 per hour differential along with a free meal during lunch periods.
