Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52 year old Gary Hackett of Norwich for 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Use Drug Paraphernalia. On December 19th, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on County Road 34 in the Town of Norwich, they discovered Methamphetamine, and drug packaging material. Hackett was taken into custody without incident, he was arraigned and was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility without Bail pending future court action.

State Troopers arrested 41-year-old Gary Hackett of Guilford for Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation. The arrest occurred following a traffic law stop for speeding on County Route 36 in Guilford, troopers determined that Hackett was intoxicated and also had a suspended driver license. Hackett was arraigned in the Town of Guilford Court and remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $1,000 cash bail.
