A new office for Sidney & Tri Town Area Veterans may be opening shortly, according to Assemblyman Cliff crouch:

CDO Workforce will hold a program about College Degrees & Career Opportunities available from SUNY Delhi, on Friday, June 30th at 1:00 pm. The session will be held at the CDO Workforce Center at the Sidney Civic Center. Misty Fields, who is the Assistant Director of Admissions at SUNY Delhi will be available to provide information about the application process, financial aid and training & career programs with SUNY Delhi and other SUNY Colleges. The Delhi Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 123 Main Street in the Village of Delhi at the O’Neill’s Shire Pub, Monday Morning. Bloomville, Bovina and Walton Fire Departments were requested as mutual aid. The fire was deemed under control by 9:00 am. The investigation revealed that the fire was accidental in nature and started in the kitchen of the Pub from spontaneous combustion of cleaning towels that were recently laundered. Two upstairs residents were not home, Their dog and 2 cats were rescued by firefighters, no firefighter injuries were reported. The building remains structurally sound however there was heavy smoke and heat damage to the kitchen and bar area. The upstairs apartments suffered smoke damage and some water damage.
