The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce 15th Annual Small Business Banquet will be held today. The Lutz Feed Company will be awarded the KeyBank Annual Small Business of the Year and Fox Hospital will be awarded for the recent renovations of single patient rooms as the Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Breakthrough Business of the year. The Small Business Banquet will be held at The Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, beginning with a reception at 5:45 pm & dinner at 7:00 pm.

State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced a settlement with insurer Excellus Bluecross Blueshield, which will require that they pay out refunds to patients and health care providers who overpaid due to improper accounting of deductibles. Excellus has so far made repayments totaling $3.1 million dollars, they had reported accounting errors affecting 12,000 customers processed after Sept. 1st. 2011, software glitches have been repaired.
