Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies observed a vehicle being operated by a driver known to have a suspended drivers license. Prior to conducting a traffic stop, Deputies observed the driver and the passenger switch seats. Upon conducting a traffic stop, Deputies observed drugs and paraphernalia in plain view & conducted a search of the vehicle, a quantity of crack cocaine and fentanyl was removed from the vehicle. Deputies arrested 23 year old Deanna Eignor of Hobart and 30 year old Dustin Roberts of Stamford for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, Both Eignor and Roberts were released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the Town of Delhi Court at a later date.

Delaware County Sheriff's Office arrested 27 year old Dustin Roberts of Stamford for Aggravated Unlicensed Operator & leaving the scene of an accident. On September 21st, Deputies were dispatched to a hit & run accident in Stamford. During the course of the investigation it was learned that Roberts was the driver of the vehicle that left the scene, he also had a suspended driver’s license. Roberts is scheduled to appear before the Town of Stamford Court at a later date.

Chenango County Department of Public Works announced that they will be participating in a paint recycling program year round, spokesman Dustin Hendricks explains:

Hendricks said that the Paint Care program is a state wide recycling program, the paints can be brought to the Chenango County recycling locations any day during normal business hours.

Delaware County Sheriff's Office arrested 25 year old Matthew Fenelon of Brooklyn for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation & a variety of other charges, following an investigation of a Rollover accident in the Town of Franklin July 5th. Deputies reported that the vehicle was operated by Fenelon, he was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a hospital by LifeNet. Deputies found that Fenelon was operating a vehcile with a suspended registration, his driving privileges were also suspended. On July 8th, Deputies made contact with Fenelon after he was released from the hospital & he was arrested & was released on appearance tickets for Town of Franklin Court at a later date.

Delaware County Chamber of Commerce will hold its "3rd Friday Business & Breakfast" event this morning at the Hamden Inn.
