State Police arrested 4 people in connection with a case of over 100 neglected animals at a farm on Clark Lane and Pig Farm Lane in New Berlin. Arrested were 44 year old Dominick Brown, for 9 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals & 95 counts of Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance. 74 year old Jane Richards for 9 counts of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals & 87 counts of Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance. 56 year old Helen Goude & 60 year old Katheriena Goude, lesser counts of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals & Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals; & Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance. On April 26th, over 2 dozen animals were located deceased and an additional 107 neglected animals were removed, including horses, pigs, cattle, sheep, goats, a llama, dogs and cats. All 4 were issued appearance tickets for New Berlin Town Court tomorrow

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office is continuing their
investigation into the disappearance of 51 year old Byron Furman of Sidney, who
was last seen at his Lawton Hill Road residence on Wednesday night, June
26th.   Furman was last known to be
wearing light tan shorts and a light gray t-shirt, he is 5’11”, 250 pounds with
gray hair and brown eyes, and he is believed to have walked from his residence
and may be in need of medication.  A
search of the Lawton Hill Road area conducted earlier this month by Delaware
County Sheriff's Deputies, State Forest Rangers and State Police failed to
reveal any information on Furman's whereabouts.
Anyone with information on Furman should contact the Delaware County
Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division at 832-5599.
Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies, State Police and Hobart
Fire Department and Emergency Squad responded to a 911 report of an overturned
car discovered in a body of water on Gun House Hill Road in the Town of
Harpersfield Tuesday.  1st responders
righted the vehicle and extricated the driver, 56 year-old Dominick Leone of
Oneida.  Leone lost control of his
vehicle, struck a culvert and earth embankment before coming to rest on the
roof in a stream.  Leone was pronounced
dead, an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death, the
investigation is continuing.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 26 year old Dominick Barkman of Delhi for Reckless Endangerment following the report of gun shots fired in the Town of Delhi. Barkman is accused of recklessly engaging in conduct that created a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person by discharging a firearm within close proximity to occupied dwellings. Barkman was arraigned on the current charge, as well as for violating Environmental Conservation Laws; he was remanded to the custody of the Delaware County Jail on $1000 cash bail, or $2000 bond pending future court action.
Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36 year old Michael Brown of Pitcher for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Harassment following an investigation into a Domestic Disturbance. Brown allegedly subjected the victim the physical contact and placed his hands around her neck during an argument. He was arraigned in the Town of Pitcher Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $500 cash bail. A temporary order of protection was issued for the victim.
