The Soap Box Derby will run from 10:00 to 3:00 on Sunday, on Clifton Street. there will be divisions for kids, teens & adults.

New York State is under an air quality health advisory from the Department of Environmental Conservation until midnight Tuesday. The pollution continues to come from the Canadian wildfires. Smoke from these fires contain fine particulate matter, which can be difficult for those with breathing issues.

The Binghamton Police Department announced the identification of the victim from the stabbing at the Salvation Army on Tuesday as 57 year old Kevin Ray of Endicott. Michael Brutvan was charged with 2nd degree murder for the death of Ray, police responded at about 5:15 PM to a report of a stabbing at the Salvation Army, Ray with stab wounds to his shoulder and neck and succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital..

Music by composers who live in or contribute to the musical life of Otsego County will be the focus of the next in the summer series of concerts at Gilbertsville’s Dunderberg Gallery, at 118 Marion Avenue. The final event of the series for children will be on Sunday August 22nd at Keith Clark Park in Sidney.

Delaware Opportunities has received additional funds for the dairy distributions, they will have 2 additional distributions to the summer/fall schedule onsite in Hamden on September 8th and October 13th. Registration for both will go live one week prior, as always. There is NO dairy distribution in August, just the food distribution on August 24th, Delaware Opportunities will be distributing back to school supplies again this year, There are income eligibility requirements, more information will be released in the coming weeks.
