Delaware County District Attorney Shawn Smith announced that the Delaware County Grand Jury returned a 5-count indictment against Jeramiah Burke of Margaretville. Each count of the five count Indictment accuses Burke of Menacing a Police Officer, on March 9th, in the Town of Middletown, he is accused of intentionally place or attempt to place several different uniformed police officers, including State Troopers and Deputies, in reasonable fear of physical injury by displaying a knife while such police officers were in the course of performing their official duties.

Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43 year old Kristopher Kovack of Smyrna for False Written Statement, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. Kovack was found to be in possession of stolen property, during the investigation, he provided a statement which was later found to be false. Kovack was arraigned at & was released on his own recognizance with a separate court date.

The Chenango Arts Council announced the return of its annual
Chenango Area Student Art exhibition today.

Anthony Brindisi’s office for a chance to appear in the 2019 Congressional Art
Show in Washington, DC.  The exhibit is
