All will be celebrated at the Sidney Chamber's Annual Dinner in June.

Delaware County District Attorney Shawn Smith announced that the Delaware County Grand Jury returned a 5-count indictment against Jeramiah Burke of Margaretville. Each count of the five count Indictment accuses Burke of Menacing a Police Officer, on March 9th, in the Town of Middletown, he is accused of intentionally place or attempt to place several different uniformed police officers, including State Troopers and Deputies, in reasonable fear of physical injury by displaying a knife while such police officers were in the course of performing their official duties.

Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43 year old Kristopher Kovack of Smyrna for False Written Statement, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. Kovack was found to be in possession of stolen property, during the investigation, he provided a statement which was later found to be false. Kovack was arraigned at & was released on his own recognizance with a separate court date.

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for Andrew Green on an outstanding warrant for Violation of Probation for Criminal Contempt and asking the residents of Broome County for assistance. Green is described as a Black male, 6'2" 250 pounds, a bald head & brown eyes, Anyone with information is asked to contact the Broome County Sheriff’s Office at gobroomecounty.com or by calling the Broome County Sheriff’s Office tip line at (607) 778-1196.

The Chenango Arts Council announced the return of its annual
Chenango Area Student Art exhibition today.

Miller said that 6 entries will be submitted to Congressman
Anthony Brindisi’s office for a chance to appear in the 2019 Congressional Art
Show in Washington, DC.  The exhibit is
scheduled to run through April 19th at the Arts Council's Mariea Brown and
Raymond Loft Galleries in downtown Norwich, More information is available at

The Delaware County Historical Association will open a new exhibit today entitled “City Meets Country” which features the photography of Sidney native Beth Brown. “City Meets Country” will be on display in the Elijah Thomas Gallery on state route 10 in Delhi until September 5th.

A Sidney native will share the spotlight in an artistic exhibit at the Wilber mansion in downtown Oneonta, with the opening reception tonight.  Beth Brown told WCDO news about the exhibit:
