The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Nicholas McDonald of Oneonta following the investigation into a suspicious person complaint in the Town of Milford. McDonald is accused of possessing a catalytic converter that had been stolen from a vehicle in Milford, he was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, auto stripping, criminal mischief, criminal tampering, trespassing, resisting arrest, obstruction to governmental administration, possession of burglar tools and false impersonation, He was remanded to the Otsego County Correctional Facility pending future court action.

57 year old Robert Bresee of Norwich has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for transporting and possessing child pornography, according to federal prosecutors & the FBI. Bresee was previously convicted in Chenango County Court of 1st degree Rape, and was sentenced to 15 years’ in prison; he admitted that while on post-release supervision he uploaded child pornography. Bresee was additional sentenced to another 15-year term of supervised release, & he is designated as a Level 3 Sexually Violent Offender, will be required to continue to register as a sex offender upon his release from prison.

It's been almost 20 years since Bresee's in Oneonta closed. Developers said at the building's ribbon cutting yesterday that the new space will feature 12 new apartments ranging from 650 to more than 2,000 square feet. The upper floor apartments will also feature rooftop decks. The more than $6 million project received $2.2 million in funding from the state's Restore New York grant program. New retail space has already begun opening up and residents will be able to move into the apartments in March
