Delaware County Sheriff's Office arrested of 33-year-old Brad Wenk of Lakewood, Pennsylvania, on State Highway 268 in the Town of Tompkins for traveling at a high rate of speed. Deputies determined that Wenk was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, he is charged with aggravated DWI & Wenk will appear in the Tompkins Town Court on a later date.

The Tri-Town Youth Club is moving from the Civic Center to the Sidney United Methodist Church starting Monday afternoon. Spokesperson Roni Haag explains:

Haag said that the hours for the club would be from 2:00 to 5:30 weekdays, starting Monday.

Free Home Energy Assessments are being made available, along with grant opportunities, for area homeowners to make their homes more energy efficient. Brad Pacalis of the Public Policy & Education Fund of New York explains:

Pacalis said that Grants are up to $4,000 for single-family homes & up to $8,000 for multiple family dwellings, more information is available at 723-0110.

Funeral services for Johnson City Police officer David Smith will be held this morning in Johnson City.  The Funeral will start at 11:00 AM at Sarah Jane Johnson Church in Johnson City. Road closures along Main Street in Johnson City will be instituted; Representatives from Police agencies from all over will be attending.

The Chenango county sheriff’s department arrested 26-year-old Brad Church of Edmeston for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.  Church allegedly approached a vehicle that had been pulled over by a deputy, and obstructed traffic, and refused to comply with the deputy, and then resisted arrest.  Church was arraigned and was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $5,000 cash bail pending future court action.
