The 2024 Great New York State Fair begins Wednesday, August 21 and continues through Monday, September 2. Some of the acts lined up for the Chevrolet Court free Concerts will include; Chubby Checker, Sophie B. Hawkins, Sister Sledge, Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone, & Blue Öyster Cult, dates & times can be found at nysfair.ny.gov.

The State Department of Agriculture & markets announced that 22 organizations will receive grants for food resiliency projects. The Unadilla Community Farm Education Center will receive over $44,000 dollars in grant money.

The annual Spiedie Fest & Balloon rally will be held at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton today through Sunday. Concerts will feature Dennis DeYoung of Styx fame tonight, Blue Oyster Cult & Eddie Money Saturday, & country acts Kellie Pickler & Sara Evans Sunday. The State Fair continues to add big names to their concert lineup this year. Blue Oyster Cult has been added for Friday September 1st at 8:00 PM at the Chevy Court, other groups that will play the State Fair this year include the Beach Boys, 3 doors down, the Marshal Tucker band & Leeann Rimes.

Officials with The Spiedie Fest in Binghamton announced that Dennis DeYoung & the music of Styx, Blue Oyster Cult and Eddie Money will headline this year's Spiedie Fest and Balloon Rally. The festival will be held August 4th through the 6th this year, at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton.
