Barbara Ann Heegan will resign shortly from the Otsego County Chamber of Commerce, to be the next president and CEO of the Greenwood South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.   Heegan starts January 4th, the Chamber Board of Directors announced the appointment of Alan Rubin as Interim President & CEO effective Tuesday, December 29th.

Anti-Harassment Policies and Sexual Harassment Training on Wednesday, October
9th at 1:00 PM at Northern Eagle Beverages at 41 Browne Street in Oneonta.   The State mandates ALL employers adopt a
sexual harassment prevention policy as well as to train ALL employees on sexual
harassment prevention.  Pinnacle Human

Attorney General Barbara Underwood today announced an agreement with Uber to settle allegations it intentionally concealed a 2016 data breach in violation of state law. The settlement requires Uber to adopt a data breach notification and data security practices and a corporate integrity program for employees to report unethical behavior, and hire an independent third party to assess its data security practices. It also requires Uber to pay a record penalty of $148 million. The agreement followed a 2016 breach where hackers informed Uber that they had downloaded the personal information of 25 million riders and 7.7 million driver in the U.S., Uber ultimately paid the hackers $100,000 to conceal the breach.
Otsego County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Barbara Ann Heegan has been chosen to participate in a program to develop plans to improve community health. Heegan is one of 10 chamber executives chosen nationwide by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives for the Healthy Communities program, Bassett Healthcare Network Dr. Henry Kurban & Heegan will colloborate on plans to promote mental health and prevention of substance abuse & chronic diseases.
